2022 York Early Music Festival

July 8 @ 7:30 pm - July 16 @ 7:30 pm BST

We are looking forward to this summer of music, when we can safely see you in York again, and enjoy listening to some of the world’s finest musicians – in what we would argue are some of the world’s most glorious ecclesiastical buildings.

The Festival opens with the exquisite beauty of gamba specialists Paolo Pandolfo and Amelie Chemin.  Highlights over the next few days include concerts with The Sixteen, the Gabrieli Consort and Players, The Tallis Scholars and many other highly accomplished musicians, and we close with the 2022 International Young Artists Competition bringing together talented younger ensembles from across Europe.

Concerts are linked together through a maze of interconnecting composers, and we are delighted to be able to shine a light on the many connections that hold us together – in the past, and into the future.
