AEM ONLINE – Bach Family Archive: inside Bach’s Box! with Kent Tritle

J.S. Bach is known to have enjoyed collecting the works of his extended family, from great-uncles to distant cousins! A study of motets by these earlier Bach’s alongside the monumental motet, “Jesu, meine Freude” of J.S. reveals the progression and summit of the German baroque motet. Scores from ChoralWiki will be provided in advance; after examination and discussion, all will sing and play to recorded sound. Open to: all singers and instrumentalists. Pitch A = 440
