An Ode to Music: Handel, Hendrix, and a Very Special House with guest soprano, Clara Rottsolk

November 5 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm EDT

$15 – $45

For the last three decades of his life, Handel lived in the same house in London, where he composed a long string of masterpieces. Centuries later, in the late 1960’s, the brilliant guitarist Jimi Hendrix also lived there. Baroque meets rock as we celebrate this odd coincidence with selections from “Ode to St. Cecilia”, Handel’s love letter to music, “Terpsichore”, his love letter to dance, and a couple of songs by the man who reinvented the guitar. Is there any common ground between these very different geniuses? Come find out for yourself, as star soprano Clara Rottsolk joins House of Time to push baroque instruments in a new direction.
