Music from Bach’s first Christmas Day in Leipzig in 1723 for Vespers in the Nikolaikirche. The program will include two of Bach’s most festive works for Christmas, the Magnificat in E Flat Major, BWV 243a with Christmas interpolations and Cantata 63, Christen, atzet diesen Tag.
