Celebrate Early Music Month under the stars!

In this presentation, historical flutist Teddie Hwang will share how she uses concepts of the night sky experience in her interdisciplinary work in music and photography, with artistic, pedagogical, spiritual, and environmental aims. She will talk about her multimedia projects and how she uses the wondrous dark sky as a key educational concept for gaining deeper insight into music and historical performance. The presentation will include a premiere of her new film with night sky imagery from the dark sky parks of the Rhön and Havelland in Germany.

Let early music be part of a great cause! Concurrent with Early Music Month, the European Early Music Day, and Irish Astronomy Week, Teddie will touch on the impacts that the night sky has had on her musical trajectory and the importance of going beyond the borders of our discipline.

This is a FREE ZOOM event on March 21 at 7PM Irish time, registration required through the event website.
