Monteverdi and Carissimi
The celebrated Baroque music ensemble Les Arts Florissants perform vocal works by Claudio Monteverdi (1567-1643) and Giacomo Carissimi (1605-1674), featuring Carissimi’s oratorio Historia di Jephte.
Soloists include:
Paul Agnew, musical direction and tenor, Lauren Lodge Campbell, soprano, Natasha Schnur, soprano, Mathilde Ortscheidt, contralto, and Edward Grint, bass.
