Macbeth: A Restoration Drama

Members of Seven Times Salt join the Henry Purcell Society of Boston and conductor Ian Watson in a semi-staged performance of the incidental theatre music from William Davenant’s Restoration-era production of Macbeth. This collaboration includes works by Eccles, Locke, Purcell and more, along with traditional Scottish and Scottish “inspired” music from the same period. Our production features actors, dancers, and an original script by Laurence Senelick.

Emily Marvosh, alto, Emily Siar, soprano, and David Thomas Mather, baritone as The Witches; Benjamin Evett as Macbeth; Natalya Baldyga as Lady Macbeth; with Teresa Wakim, soprano;Ian Watson, harpsichord; Shirley Hunt, cello; Jesse Irons and Amy Rawstron, violins; Joy Grimes, viola and Scottish fiddle; Matthew Wright, lute; Roy Sansom and Daniel Meyers, recorders, percussion and sound effects.
