Music of Johann Bernhard Bach and Johann Sebastian Bach | BEMF Fringe Concert

Our BEMF concert includes J.S. Bach’s Concerto in C minor for Two Harpsichords, BWV 1060, and Overture for Violin and Strings in A minor, BWV 1067a — the presumed original version of the famous Overture in B Minor (BWV 1067) scored for flute and strings — reconstructed by musicologist Werner Breig. Our program also features the Orchestral Suite No. 3 in E minor by Johann Bernhard Bach (1676–1749), Johann Sebastian’s second cousin, whose musical style has been compared to Telemann’s.
