Pulcinella’s Dream

Join Bay Area period ensemble Nash Baroque and historical dance company Dance Through Time for Pulcinella’s Dream; A spettaculo of Music, Dance and Pantomime of eighteenth century Italian theater.
Characters of commedia from Harlequin to Pantalone are caught in a labyrinth of mistaken identity, unrequited love, surreal dream, and journeys on the high sea. Interwoven with 18th century choreography and classic pantomime this performance will feature the music of Domenico Gallo, Giovanni Pergolesi and Carlo Monza that Stravinsky orchestrated for the 1920 ballet, “Pulcinella” and music of the theatre “Comedie Italienne” by Jean-Joseph Mouret.
With guest dancers from the New York Baroque Dance company and the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre School, fencing, singing, acting, puppets and death. This show has it all.
