Courtly music from Mantua & Ferrara, c. 1500. Blue Heron will be joined by a pair of outstanding medieval instrumentalists – fiddle player Anna Danilevskaia and multi-instrumental virtuosa Debra Nagy – in a program of music connected to the great patroness Isabella d’Este of Ferrar, Marchesa of Mantua. Free pre-concert talk 45 minutes before the program.
