THE TALLIS SCHOLARS
Antoine Brumel (1460-1512): Missa Et ecce terrae motus
David Lang: sun-centered (2022)
May 4 @ 7:30 pm, 2022

The Tallis Scholars return to the NW with Antoine Brumel’s monumental 12-voice “Earthquake Mass” Et ecce terrae motus (“And the earth moved”) and a premiere of David Lang’s new work “sun-centered”, a reflection on doubt and belief in an age of scientific discovery, inspired by the history surrounding Galileo and his earth-shattering observations. The New York Times calls The Tallis Scholars “The rock stars of Renaissance vocal music.”
