Study Baroque performance with great faculty in an intimate setting at our 10th annual Workshop. We welcome players of all levels in this 5-day immersion course, designed to give participants hands-on experience in technique and interpretation through solo masterclasses and ensemble coaching sessions. Both period and modern instruments are encouraged to apply, pitch will be at both 415 and 440.

The Workshop is part of the Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival in Harrisonburg, VA. In addition to masterclasses and coached ensembles, participants will have the opportunity to attend daily noon chamber concerts, the Baroque Faculty Concert, as well as the Bach Festival III Concert on Friday evening.

Located in the Shenandoah Valley, there are many opportunities for hiking and sightseeing. Highlights for 2018 include a featured Bach Festival Baroque Faculty Concert on Thursday evening of the workshop week. Faculty include: Judith Malafronte, mezzo soprano; Daniel Lee, violin; Anne Timberlake, recorder; Martha McGaughey, viola da gamba; and Arthur Haas, harpsichord.
