DESCRIPTION:Ars Musica Chicago presents Ensemble Affect in a festive progra
 m celebrating two important observances in March: International Women’s 
 Day on March 8 and J.S. Bach’s 341st birthday on March 21. Enjoy complim
 entary coffee\, wine\, and refreshments as you delight in music by Bach\, 
 works dedicated to his wife Anna Magdalena Bach\, and pieces written by wo
 men composers associated with Bach and his students. Admission is FREE\; n
 o tickets are required\, but donations will be gratefully accepted.\n\nEns
 emble Affect is a string band based in both San Francisco and Chicago\, sp
 ecializing in creating performances that explore the expanse of human emot
 ion\, and draw upon historically-inspired performance practice. Group memb
 ers live nationwide\, forming a web of opportunity to bring the thrilling 
 music created in the Baroque\, Classical\, and Renaissance periods to many
  locations across the country in addition to our two home cities. Ensemble
  Affect is devoted to providing accessible\, engaging\, and educational op
 portunities to experience historical performances.
