DESCRIPTION:Pre-Concert Lecture - 6:30 pm\n\nIn our first collaboration wit
 h the medieval ensemble Concordian Dawn\, we will present selections from 
 the iconic collection of 254 poems discovered in the library of Benediktbe
 uern in Bavaria in 1803. The poems\, set to popular songs of the day\, rev
 eal an international cross-border connection and collaboration. The subjec
 t matter ranges from sexually explicit depictions of love and dalliance to
  celebrations and joys of the tavern and blatant satire of the established
  church.
