DESCRIPTION:CHANT ALONG WITH MOUNTAINSIDE BAROQUE ON FEBRUARY 21 \n“ECHOE
 S OF THE ORATORY CHANT-ALONG #3” \nMountainside Baroque’s Bishop Matth
 ew Riegel will again offer the public a chance to learn and sing Gregorian
  chant. This free interactive workshop takes place Saturday\, February 21 
 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cumberland\, Maryland.\nThis year\, Mou
 ntainside Baroque’s workshop will follow a different format that now inc
 ludes an early session for beginners and a later one for experienced parti
 cipants. Make it a full afternoon and do both with a break for refreshment
 s in between.  \nThe session for beginners introduces participants to the
  basics of chant\, including reading square notes. If you’ve never chant
 ed or read square notes (or music in general)\, this session is for you. 
  It is scheduled for 2-3:30pm.\nThe more advanced segment offers an opport
 unity to explore chant in depth.  This session runs 4-5pm.\nTake advantag
 e of the break to ask questions or get personal tips in a relaxed setting.
  You may also request a favorite chant in advance by emailing Bishop Riege
 l at riegel@wv-wmd.org.\nMountainside Baroque is an early music collective
  established in Cumberland in 2011 by co-directors Ryan Mullaney and Lyle 
 Nordstrom. It is known for its excellent\, dynamic performances\, drawing 
 on the finest early music specialists from across the country. These profe
 ssionals return to Mountain Maryland for great music\, fresh air\, and the
  great vibe here\, features that also attract audiences from around the mi
 d-Atlantic region.\nChant-A-Long #3: Chant and More takes place Saturday\,
  February 21 from 2pm to 5pm in the Parish Hall at St. Paul’s Lutheran C
 hurch\, 15 N. Smallwood in Cumberland\, Maryland. There is no formal charg
 e for the workshop\, but donations are always welcome.\nVisit mountainside
