SUMMARY:Cocktails &amp\; Classical at ARTISANworks
DESCRIPTION:Free Admission | Open to the Public | All Ages Welcome\n\nJoin
Pegasus Early Music at ARTISANworks for an intimate performance by Quartet
Novalis\, a New York City-based string quartet bringing a fresh perspecti
ve to works by Fanny Mendelssohn\, Dvořák\, Mozart\, and Puccini.\n\nMad
e up of Eliana Estrada\, Ela Kodžas\, Annemarie Schubert\, and Luka Stefa
nović\, Quartet Novalis is a group of exceptionally talented young musici
ans who approach classical music with curiosity\, creativity\, and a spiri
t of exploration. Thinking of themselves as musical time travelers\, the e
nsemble performs on historical instruments\, drawing on the sounds and tra
ditions of the 18th and 19th centuries to uncover new colors\, textures\,
and expressive possibilities in the music. Their performances offer an opp
ortunity to hear familiar composers in a different light and discover some
thing unexpected along the way.\n\nWe're excited to continue our partnersh
ip with ARTISANworks\, where the eclectic art collection and unique atmosp
here of the Vertigo Heights Room create a fitting backdrop for this intima
te chamber music experience. Far from a traditional concert hall\, this se
tting invites audiences to enjoy exceptional live music surrounded by art\
, in a relaxed and welcoming environment. And while you're there\, be sure
to stop by the bar and try the special Pegasus cocktail!\n\nThis concert
is presented through Pegasus Rising\, an initiative of Pegasus Early Music
that supports the next generation of professional musicians. Selected thr
ough a competitive application process\, these accomplished emerging artis
ts receive professional performance fees and personalized mentorship as th
ey build their careers. The program also brings exceptional chamber music
into unexpected spaces throughout Rochester\, creating opportunities for n
ew audiences to experience this music up close.\n\nWhether you're drawn by
the music\, the art\, or simply the chance to experience something differ
ent on a Thursday evening\, we hope you'll join us for a night that brings
  together Rochester's creative community.\n\nThis hour-long concert will b
e presented without intermission. Admission is free and open to the public
\, and all ages are welcome.\n\nMore info at https://www.pegasusearlymusic
