 s of Music for Recorders"
DESCRIPTION:Early Music Missouri’s 2025–2026 Mainstage Concert Series o
 pens with a scintillating recital of music for two recorders. Performed by
  Lisette Kielson and Rachel Siegel\, the program ranges from the Middle Ag
 es to the 21st Century. Early repertoire includes music by Ludwig Senfl an
 d Franceso Landini as well as a duo suite by the 18th-century French flaut
 ist Jacques Hotteterre. The duo will also perform early Baroque duos by th
 e Italian composers Marco Uccellini\, Dario Castello\, Tarquinio Merula an
 d Andrea Falconieri. Contemporary music on the program features works by S
 ören Seig and a bossa nova by Antonio Carlos Jobim. Lisette and Rachel wi
 ll be accompanied by Stephanie Hunt on Baroque cello and viola da gamba an
 d Jeff Noonan playing lute\, theorbo and various guitars.\n\nThe concert w
 ill take place on October 5 at 3:00 PM at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church\,
  110 North Warson Road in Ladue\, MO. Free off-street parking is available
  immediately adjacent to the church\, including handicapped spots. The per
 formance space is accessible for those with special mobility needs. Admiss
 ion to the concert is $20 (cash\, card\, or check) with special discounts 
 for students.\n\nLisette and Rachel have performed together regularly on a
  number of Early Music Missouri concerts\, but this recital is their first
  outing as recorder duo. A past president of the American Recorder Society
 \, Lisette is recognized across the country as an accomplished performer a
 nd well-regarded teacher. Much of her performing work centers on the Chica
 go area with regular performances with the best of the region’s Early Mu
 sic Ensembles as well as concerts and tours with her own ensemble\, Chicag
 o Recorder Trio. A St. Louis native\, Rachel has performed widely on both 
 clarinet and recorder. As a member of the United States Marine Band\, Rach
 el appeared in wide variety of ensembles and as a soloist as well as with 
 a number of orchestras on the Eastern seaboard. Her performances on record
 er include Vivaldi concerti\, Bach’s Brandenburgs\, Charpentier orchestr
 al music and Spanish Renaissance repertoire.\n\nEarly Music Missouri is th
 e region's foremost promoter and presenter of Early Music concerts. Its pe
 rformances feature Medieval\, Renaissance and Baroque repertoire performed
  on period instruments by expert performers from the region and nation.
