DESCRIPTION:Early Music Missouri continues its collaborative presentations 
 with the St. Louis Art Museum on November 29 with a free concert of Renais
 sance vocal music for the Christmas season. The program takes place in Gri
 gg Gallery as part of SLAM's Festive Friday events. This performance is th
 e second of three EMMo will offer during the 2024 Holiday Season at SLAM.\
 n\nThe program celebrates the Christmas season with vocal and instrumental
  music ranging from Gregorian chant to High Renaissance motets. The repert
 oire includes a festive mix of seasonal motets and carols\, including Tom
 ás Luis de Victoria's O magnum mysterium and Michael Praetorius's In dul
 ci jubilo and Es ist ein Ros entsprungen. The performers--Samantha Arten\,
  Olivia Roland\, Jeffrey Ballard and Kevin Warner--perform regularly as me
 mbers of EMMo's Vocal Ensemble as well as with many other choral ensembles
  in the region. The singers will introduce and discuss the music and audie
 nce members will have the opportunity to ask questions about the music and
  Early Music performance.\n\nSLAM is open to the public and on Festive Fri
 days the museum is open late and admission to special exhibitions is free.
 \n\nEarly Music Missouri is the region's foremost promoter and presenter o
 f Early Music concerts. Its performances feature Medieval\, Renaissance an
 d Baroque repertoire performed on period instruments by expert performers
