 : a 400th Anniversary CelebrationL.
DESCRIPTION:L.A. Camerata and the UCLA Early Music Ensemble present this se
 mi-staged production of the full length opera by Francesca Caccini (1587-1
 641) composed in 1625\, represents the first opera written by a woman comp
 oser. Featuring L.A. Camerata singers\, UCLA EME Baroque orchestra\, choir
 \, and a cameo by the Polish Prince Władysław IV Vasa (Aex Barrios). Sit
 e-specific staging at the Clark Library and gardens\, with its Mediterrane
 an Revival architecture\, provides a recreation of the original production
  staged at Villa di Poggio Imperiale\, the headquarters of the Women's Cou
 rt of Florence.\nThis production is site-specific and takes place entirely
  outdoors on the grounds of the Clark Library. A limited number of audienc
 e chairs will be provided\, and attendees are welcome to bring blankets or
  low foldable chairs for additional seating.\nStarring Ariel Pisturino (Al
 cina)\, Jon Lee Keenan (Ruggiero)\, and Ianthe Marini (Melissa). Featured 
 performances by: Vasken Ohanian (Nettuno)\, Laur Trustee (Vistola fiume)\,
  Adam Faruqi (Pastore)\, Krystal Mao (Sirena/Nunzia)\, Soo Bin Kwon (Damig
 ella)\, Charlotte Kelly (Una delle Piante incantate)\, Abbey Thompson (Ast
