 25-2026 Mountainside Baroque season will lead off on Sunday\, October 12\,
  at 4pm at the Shrine of Ss. Peter and Paul\, on Fayette at Smallwood in C
 umberland. In “Gems from a New Era: Haydn\, Mozart and More\,” the org
 anization will venture beyond the Baroque to a new era in composition–th
 e mid 18th-century “new music” that is often dubbed “Rococo.” It w
 as characterized by easier harmonies\, multi-movement compositions\, a foc
 us on the orchestra\, and the rise of the piano. New composers with well-k
 nown names emerge such as Josef Haydn and Wolfgang Mozart. For this concer
 t\, featured concerto soloists will be Joseph Yungen on fortepiano\, Marc 
 Bellassai on harpsichord and violinist (from the "Four Seasons") Cynthia R
 oberts. The performance will be preceded at 3:30pm by a discussion of the 
 concert repertory.
