DESCRIPTION:Celebrated French early keyboardist Benjamin Alard performs sel
 ections of J.S. Bach's works written1717 - 1723 when he lived in Köthen a
 nd enjoyed greater freedom to compose as he felt inclined.  On the progra
 m are the Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue in D minor BWV 903 and two English 
 Suites (No. 3 in G minor and No. 6 in D minor). This period was a golden e
 ra for Bach during which he had the latitude to explore emerging musical s
 tyles and trends from other countries and integrate them into his own work
 s.   Benjamin Alard\, with his unmatchable artistry and interpretive ski
 lls\, brings out the ingenuity and freshness of this lovely music.\n\nJoin
