 $15-$18\nSonoma County–based Beneath A Tree is a genre-defying ensemble 
 led by violinist Gail Hernández Rosa and bassist Daniel Turkos\, weaving 
 together folk\, Celtic\, bluegrass\, and jazz traditions with the refined 
 grace of the baroque. Founded in 2017 in the lively music scene of Philade
 lphia and shaped by countless performances in the rural pubs of Chester Co
 unty\, Pennsylvania\, the group’s sound is both deeply rooted and boldly
  exploratory.\nFor this concert\, Gail and Daniel are joined by acclaimed 
 baroque guitarist Héctor Torres González. Together\, they present a rich
 ly textured program that travels across cultures and centuries\, illuminat
 ing the shared rhythms\, dances\, and expressive melodies of baroque and f
 olk traditions from around the world. Expect music that is intimate\, adve

 nBeneath A Tree (BAT) is a multi-genre ensemble led by violinist Gail Hern
 ández Rosa and bassist Daniel Turkos. Founded in 2017 amid the vibrant mu
 sic scene of Philadelphia and the rural pubs of Chester County\, Pennsylva
 nia\, BAT began with lively performances blending folk\, Celtic\, bluegras
 s\, and jazz with the elegance of the baroque.\nRooted in a shared passion
  for historical performance\, BAT’s collaborations with adventurous musi
 cians explore the intersections between composed and traditional music fro
 m the baroque era and its ongoing resonance today. The result is a curious
  and compelling fusion that bridges centuries and genres.\nSince relocatin
 g to Northern California in 2018\, BAT has flourished with performances an
 d collaborations at the California Jazz Conservatory\, San Francisco Conse
 rvatory of Music\, Herbst Theatre (as part of the American Bach Soloists F
 estival)\, San Francisco Early Music Society\, Chamber Music Society of Sa
 n Francisco\, Mercury Soul\, Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra\, Luther Burban
 k Center for the Arts\, and more. The ensemble also performs music meditat
 ions for wellness centers along the West Coast\, grounding its artistry in
  community and connection.\nIn 2020\, Hernández Rosa recorded My Cup of T
 ea in collaboration with BAT and Paul Holmes Morton at St. Stephen’s Epi
 scopal Church. The album was praised by Early Music America and featured o
 n WQXR’s Young Artist Showcase\, KRCB\, and KBBF. BAT has since appeared
  in the Early Music America 2021 Emerging Artist Showcase\, Boston Early M
 usic Fringe Festival\, San Francisco Early Music Society Mini-Festival (20
 23)\, American Bach Soloists Festival (2019/2022)\, Green Music Center\, S
 ebastopol Arts Center\, Calliope East Bay Music &amp\; Arts\, and InterMus
 ic SF’s Music Day\, among others.\nCommitted to education and outreach\,
  BAT engages in community projects and collaborations with the Sonoma Coun
 ty School District\, Davis High School\, and Sonoma State University.\nBAT
  was nominated for Best Early Music Ensemble\, Favorite New Discovery\, an
 d Best Chamber Ensemble in the 2024 and 2025 San Francisco Classical Voice
  Audience Choice Awards\, with Hernández Rosa winning Best Instrumental R
 ecital (2025).\nUpcoming projects include the release of BAT’s new album
 \, Musings\, recorded at Skywalker Sound and produced by Acis Productions.
