DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, May 9\, at 3pm at the Allegany County LaVale Libr
 ary\, there will be a free informal discussion of the production process o
 f preparing Mountainside Baroque’s ground-breaking May 17 performance of
  G. P. Telemann’s one-act comic serenata\, Don Quixote at Comacho’s We
 dding. Titled “Making Don Quixote\,” the round table discussion will f
 eature director Lyle Nordstrom\, puppet maker and puppeteer Kristin Evans\
 , puppeteer Tamara Raskin\, actor-puppeteer Katie Zimmerman\, and costumer
  Lynne Dale as they share how they went about creating this upcoming excep
 tional event that will feature professional singer soloists and Baroque ch
 amber orchestra along with full-sized puppets  \nWith an output of at lea
 st thirty-three operas\, George Philippe Telemann was among the most proli
 fic composers in this form. This final opera\, composed in 1758 when the c
 omposer was nearing 80\, recounts a portion of Cervantes’ famous satiric
 al story of the escapades of Don Quixote\, and his pal\, Sancho Panza. Fol
 lowing a late 18th century tradition\, it will be performed with puppets c
 omplementing the action.\n  “Making Don Quixote” will focus on Mount
 ainside Baroque’s production process for Telemann’s one-act comic sere
 nata\, Don Quixote at Comacho’s Wedding.  This free presentation will h
 appen on Saturday\, May 9\, at 3pm at the Allegany County LaVale Library 8
