 ) was the Italian Notturno for two voices with continuo or fully-compose
 d keyboard part. This genre\, a descendant of the Baroque chamber cantata\
 , remains very little explored today\; hundreds of gems await rediscovery.
  Teatro Nuovo’s concentration on early Romantic opera poises its musicia
 ns to lead this revival. Teatro Nuovo’s 1804 Lonsdale fortepiano (plus c
 ello as appropriate) provides the ideal period accompaniment.\nTeatro Nuov
 o was founded in 2018 with the mission of exploring new paths in the inte
 rpretation of classic Italian opera. It now fills a unique role on the ope
 ratic scene by taking the insights of the early music movement forward int
 o the Romantic era. Critics and audiences alike have embraced the new init
