DESCRIPTION:Museum Concerts of Rhode Island’s last offering of the 2025-2
 6 season features Musicians of the Old Post Road\, a chamber ensemble that
  specializes in period instrument performances of dynamic and diverse musi
 c from the Baroque to early Romantic eras. Its repertoire includes compell
 ing “rediscovered” works that have been lost to audiences for centurie
 s. The April 19th concert at Providence’s First Unitarian Church present
 s boisterous chamber works from the Classical era with an exotic Bohemian 
 flair and includes the Flute Quartet in G Major by Czech-Austrian composer
  Adalbert Gyrowetz (1763 – 1850)\; Johann Evangelist Brandl’s (1760 
 – 1837) Notturno in E-flat Major for two violas and cello\, and the Quin
 tet in D Major for flute and strings by Andreas Lidl (c. 1740 – c. 1789)
 . A set of toe-tapping Hungarian dances and a period arrangement for flute
  and strings of Mozart’s Rondo “alla Turca” round out the afternoon
