DESCRIPTION:Museum Concerts continues its 59th season as Rhode Island’s p
 remier early music concert series on Sunday\, November 16th with Providenc
 e Baroque: Bach’s Orchestra.\n\nProvidence Baroque explores the riches o
 f Bach’s orchestral music. The double concerti were likely performed fro
 m 1729 to 1737 at Zimmerman’s Coffee House in Leipzig by university stud
 ents in the Leipzig Collegium Musicum at free\, twice-weekly concerts led 
 by Bach. \n\nAlso featured in the program is a double concerto by Georg P
 hilipp Telemann\, Bach's friend\, occasional rival\, and godfather to his 
 second son. Led by Daniel S. Lee\, Providence Baroque performs on period-s
 tyled instruments with Gaia Satermoe-Howard on oboe and recorder\; Maximil
 ian St. George on traverso\; and Daniel Lee and David Rubin on violin.\n\n
