DESCRIPTION:Barbara Strozzi was one of the most prolific composers of secul
 ar vocal music in 17th century Venice.  A genius ahead of her time\, Stro
 zzi wrote music and poetry with highly adventurous harmonies. And—amazin
 gly—she published music under her own name.  Strozzi was a pupil of Fra
 ncesco Cavalli and Claudio Montiverdi. Plan to join us for this delightfu
 l concert where Colorado Chamber Players will celebrate the music of Stroz
 zi and her contemporaries\, along with music of another genius\, J.S. Bach
