SUMMARY:RENAISSANCE WOMEN Seicento Baroque Ensemble
DESCRIPTION:Seicento Baroque Ensemble is proud to present RENAISSANCE WOMEN
  live in three locations throughout Boulder\, CO as well as a fourth Life 
 Stream\; April 25-27.\nWomen composers in the Renaissance and Baroque peri
 ods were often prolific composers even though their work was rarely perfor
 med for hundreds of years following their deaths. Their output included ev
 erything from madrigals to motets to opera to hymns to solo vocal and inst
 rumental works. Our concert will introduce you to compositions by Maddalen
 a Casulana\, Vittoria Aleotti\, Sulpitia Lodovica Cesis\, Chiara Margarita
  Cozzolani\, Francesca Caccini\, Barbara Strozzi\, Isabella Leonarda\, Eli
 sabeth Jacquet de La Guerre\, and Anna Bon. All will be performed by talen
 ted local vocalists and instrumentalists on period instruments.\n\n\n\n\n\
