 en\n\nLocation The workshop takes place at the Hidden Valley Music Semina
 rs\, An Institute of the Arts in Carmel Valley\, California\, nestled amo
 ngst oak and buckeye trees below majestic hillsides. Along with our rich o
 pportunities for music making\, bird watching and walking can be enjoyed n
 earby.\n\nSchedule The workshop includes four daily classes\, morning str
 etching\, and impromptu group playing. Wednesday includes a free afternoon
  to explore the beautiful Carmel/Monterey area\, play music\, or just rela
 x!\n\nAnd there's more! \n\n- Evening tutti playing sessions – all welco
 me (in addition to recorders and viols\, bring your krummhorns and other r
 eed instruments if you have them)\n\n- Evening playing sessions\, led by Y
 OU! Bring your favorite pieces and be a conductor for an evening!\n\n- Fac
 ulty Concert on Thursday evening\n\n- Student Concert on Friday before din
 ner\n\n- Open Mic on Friday after dinner\n\n- Happy Hour every day\n\nInst
 rument Information/Level The Road Scholar Recorder/Early Music Workshop i
 s open to adult recorder and viol players of all ages who play at intermed
 iate to advanced levels. Recorder players must be able to play at least on
 e F instrument and one C instrument. All participants must bring their own
  instruments. Week #2\, November 1\, 2026 program includes dulcian and sha
 wm. The dulcian and shawm programs are open by audition. Please contact th
