SUMMARY:Teddie Talks Traverso - "An Ornamentation Lesson with Telemann"(and
  Eva Legêne!)
DESCRIPTION:It's my great honor that Professor Emeritus Eva Legêne returns
  to Teddie Talks Traverso to take us on a deep dive into the world of orna
 mentation according to Telemann. By examining the harmonic and melodic con
 texts in excerpts from the Methodical Sonatas as well as other works of hi
 s\, we'll learn that Telemann shows us precisely how different ornaments s
 hould be played\, resulting in an interpretation that's stylish and expres
 sive.\nDay 1 on June 3rd will be focused on the building blocks of ornamen
 tation\, and we'll begin with the appoggiatura\, trills\, and mordents. We
 'll venture out on Day 2 on June 10th to look at "fancier" ornaments such 
 as tierce de coulées\, slides\, and tiratas. Dedicated exercises\, guided
  practice and listening will make up the entire lecture workshop.\nALL FLU
 TE PLAYERS\, regardless modern or baroque\, as well as any instrumentalist
