SUMMARY:Teddie Talks Traverso - "How to Play Baroque Dances on the Traverso
 : A Practical Workshop"
DESCRIPTION:This course introduces beginner to intermediate transverse flut
 e players to the four main dances of the baroque suite - Allemande\, Coura
 nte\, Sarabande\, and Gigue. Players will learn the basic characteristics 
 of each dance\, including tempo\, rhythm\, and affect\, and how these elem
 ents influence musical interpretation. Emphasis is placed on practical asp
 ects of playing such as phrasing\, articulation\, sound production\, and t
 he treatment of inequality. We will also examine what are the common techn
 ical challenges in each of these dances and learn how to overcome them. Th
 rough listening\, guided practice\, and examining various examples of each
  dance form\, players will gain confidence in playing these dances with st
 ylistic awareness and musical expression on the transverse flute.\nRegistr
