DESCRIPTION:Discover the difference between what we see on the page and how
  it should sound!\n\nIn this interactive online workshop\, I'll be using t
 hree pieces to demonstrate how music notation can only suggest how the mus
 ic should go on a very basic level\, and that there's so much more that ne
 eds to be understood and brought forth in our interpretation of it. Especi
 ally in baroque music\, where we often have relatively "simpler" note valu
 es and/or repetitive rhythms\, it can seem trivial or boring at first sigh
 t.\n\nThe following pieces we'll be looking at may not appear advanced \, 
 but it is exactly the understanding of style\, phrasing\, and aesthetics t
 hat will truly bring endless enjoyment for the performer as well as do exp
 ressive justice to the music:\n\n-"Andante" from J.S. Bach's Sonata in E m
 inor for Flute and Continuo\, BWV 1034\,\n\n-"Musette" from J.Ph. Rameau's
  Opera ""Les fêtes d'Hébé"\, arr. by M. Blavet\n\n-"Mvt. II. Allegro" f
 rom A. Corelli's Sonata IV in G major\, arr. for flute and continuo from h
 is Op. V violin sonatas.\n\n\n\nPresence at the live session is not requir
 ed but highly recommended. The session will be recorded and all registrant
 s will have access to the recording for 3 months afterwards. Music and oth
 er materials for the workshop will be distributed around one week beforeha
