Early Music America’s mentorship team is comprised of musicians, educators, arts administrators, and other professionals who have been involved in the field of early music. Mentors volunteer their services to EMA members free of charge.
Each one-on-one mentoring session will last 30 minutes and will be arranged between mentor and mentee once they are matched by EMA.
Current EMA members may request a maximum of two (2) mentorship sessions per year.
Potential mentorship areas include, but are not limited to:
- Exploring the many different ways you can build a career today
- Building of skills and tasks that have become increasingly necessary for artists to support their own careers (financial, legal, nonprofit fundraising)
- Writing bios, resumes, program notes
- Historical performance research
- Building connections
- Marketing & PR
- Social media presence
