Early Music America offers travel grants annually to college or university early music ensembles to support their travel to EMA’s Young Performers Festival. The 8th Annual Young Performers Festival will be held May 24-26, 2018 in Bloomington, IN.

Application Process

Eligible Applications

 In order to be eligible for travel grant funding, ensembles must first submit an application for the Young Performers Festival.

Festival Application


The panel of three judges selecting the ensembles for Young Performers Festival will also select the Travel Grant recipients. 

Required Materials

  1. Contact Information
  2. Preliminary budget including estimated major expenses such as travel and room and board for all ensemble members (PDF or Excel)
  3. Additional funding sources including a proposed list of sources for the remainder of the funds needed, even if not confirmed (PDF or Excel)

Should you receive a Travel Grant, EMA will need the following formation regarding your check

Application & Deadline

Thank you for applying for a Young Performers Festival Travel Grant. The application process is now closed. Those selected for a travel grant will be notified by December 22, 2017.
