CAMBRIDGE — In a town that commonly experiences all four seasons in a single week, Boston Baroque’s selection of Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” as the centerpiece of its annual New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day concerts was most appropriate. And though this quartet of violin concertos is among the most popular items in the recorded repertoire, live performances as good as the one soloist Christina Day Martinson gave Friday at Sanders Theatre are few and far between.
