The bare, resonant walls of Tacoma’s Christ Episcopal Church will ring with the lush polyphony of 16th-century Spain this weekend as professional early music vocal group Canonici both leads a workshop and offers a free public concert. It’s the first year for the Tacoma Early Music Workshop, led by Canonici director Anne Lyman, which also includes two late-evening compline services in the Anglican choral tradition.
