Le Poème Harmonique and its music director Vincent Dumestre are proud to present the Concours Corneille – Normandy International Baroque Music Competition.
The first edition, which will take place on September 8-11, 2016 in Rouen, France, will be dedicated to string instruments – violin, cello and viola da gamba. The jury will be chaired by Rachel Podger and the competition will be held at the Chapelle Corneille, a historical venue recently restored to become the Normandy Auditorium.
The application process will begin on January 25. We are expecting participants from all countries, and we hope to welcome your students to this event, the first international competition in France for baroque soloists – one of few throughout the world.
