Since 1990, the Pacific Baroque Orchestra has faced many challenges in its mission to establish a viable authentic instrument/period practice ensemble here on the West Coast. That it has survived at all is a minor miracle; that it opened its latest season Friday evening at the Vancouver Playhouse with a sold-out program of concerti by Bach and Telemann is cause for celebration.
