Early music pioneer Judith Davidoff, who passionately volunteered teaching music at public schools throughout her long career, has inspired her son – visual artist Max Rosen – to dedicate his new solo gallery show to her memory.

On Thursday, May 15, a VIP opening and benefit featuring his work will kick off at Picto NY in Brooklyn. All the profits from this vibrant, visionary and very funny week-long show will be donated to Achievement First Public Charter Schools to fill the gap in arts education funding.
“When I was a kid, my mom encouraged me to draw images from magazines. We’d spend countless hours drawing together, and it gave me a way to channel my emotions. I hope that this gallery show allows each child in Achievement First to learn that their creativity can be a fantastic lifelong companion, and an incredibly effective tool for healing and growth,” adds Rosen.
RSVP or donate directly to the school here: www.maxrosen.art/exhibit-soup
The opening night benefit is on Thurs May 15 from 6:30 – 10 PM.
Location: Picto NY, 77 Washington Ave, 3rd fl, Brooklyn NY 11205
It will feature a huge custom art installation, great live jazz piano, an auction, an interview with Max by tech luminary Rich Entrup (MoMA, Christies, Disney) and more.
