Biography
Emma is a soprano soloist and violist, well-versed in standard repertoire, but excessively fond of performing Baroque and other early music. She has performed much of the solo soprano music of Bach, Handel, Telemann, and Vivaldi, but also enjoys exploring the vocal works of others, such as Buxtehude and Schütz. She loves singing in different languages, and has recently enjoyed performing vocal works in Russian and Norwegian. Fluent in German, she is currently working to translate the vocal music of Bach into poetic, singable English which more closely adheres to the original German text, especially in regard to its theological connotations, primarily for use in Protestant worship services.
