About
Founded in 1976 by a distinguished group of music professors, the Denton Bach Society has grown into one of North Texas's most highly regarded ensembles. Our mission is to provide dedicated and musically trained singers the opportunity to bring high-quality choral and instrumental music -especially from the Baroque period- to audiences in the Denton and greater North Texas community. Serving the region for five decades, we are committed to enriching the local cultural landscape.
While our foundation rests firmly on the timeless masterworks of J.S. Bach and the broader Baroque tradition, the Society's programming is dynamic and expansive. We frequently explore a broad range of choral literature, from sweeping classical oratorios to engaging contemporary works. Beyond our own performances, we are incredibly proud to host an annual competition for young musicians, fostering and celebrating the next generation of musical talent in North Texas.
