Conference Call for Papers/Presentations: “Between Old Worlds and New: Keyboard Encounters, c. 1700-1900”

March 9-11, 2023, at the Sigal Music Museum in Greenville, South Carolina, the Cornell | Westfield Center for Historical Keyboard Studies will hold a conference “Between Old Worlds and New: Keyboard Encounters, c. 1700-1900.”

A selection of instruments in excellent playing condition from the world-class collection of historical keyboards at the Sigal Music Museum will support a wide range of 25-minute presentations related to the conference theme.

Proposals for papers, lecture-recitals, and short recitals may be submitted to [email protected] by August 31, 2022 via email attachments. The decisions of the program committee will be announced on or before September 20, 2022.

Keynote presenters at the conference will include noted instrument conservator John Watson and scholar/performer Nicholas Mathew. For further details of the conference theme and the proposal process, please visit westfield.org.
