**NEW EVENTS CALENDAR COMING JULY 2024**
EMA are in the midst of upgrading to a new and improved events calendar. We ask members not to submit events until the new calendar is installed. We estimate completion by the beginning of August. Unfortunately, we are unable to carry events submitted to the current calendar. When the new calendar is available, EMA members will receive an email with instructions on how to submit events, as well as other new features. We apologize for the inconvenience.

From August 16-25 Staunton Music Festival welcomes over 80 acclaimed professionals from around the world to perform in 30 events. Multiple concerts daily make for an exhilarating immersion in chamber, vocal, and symphonic music. The days are given over to one-hour, free admission programs, while the evenings come alive with longer, ticketed concerts preceded by special dinners and short lectures. And for those who enjoy music after dark, look for the Nightcap concerts that take place at 10:00 pm in interesting spaces downtown.
All music pre-1850 is performed on historical instruments. Among the 80+ musicians performing in 2024 are many acclaimed members of the early music world, including: Kris Kwapis, Nina Stern, Geoffrey Burgess, Ingrid Matthews, Elisabeth Axtell, Sarah Darling, Heather Miller Lardin, as well as vocalists Molly Netter, Daniel Moody, Peter Walker, Gene Stenger, Clifton Massey, Edmund Milly and more. Some featured works include complete Mass in B Minor of Bach, Lully Te Deum, program devoted to music for the new 1830 Graf fortepiano, an Early Keyboard Extravaganza, opening night celebration of Handel, plus everything from Beethoven Symphony No 2 to Schumann’s Liederkreis to new music from Roberto Sierra and Zachary Wadsworth.
The EMA Member Concerts & Events Calendar is for time-sensitive events, such as in-person concerts, livestreaming performances or video premieres, and live online events such as webinars. Events hosted by licensed or incorporated organizations/ensembles must be posted from their EMA Organization Member account. Videos available on-demand (temporarily or permanently) should not be submitted as multi-day events. Please submit Early Music News & Press Releases about these or other activities.
Highlights from this calendar are included in the weekly E-Notes email newsletter (Tuesdays). Selections are made based on variety of event types and geographic regions.
EMA does not share non-EMA events on our social media platforms.
