The program features music from the first music history book in English by Englishman Charles Burney who traveled over Europe meeting composers and gathering selections for his 1776-1789 publication. Hear the publications come to life. Admission is free. Donations will be gladly accepted.
Works include plainchant to the Reformation and beyond. The performers: Anne O’Byrne, soprano, Sung Lee, recorder, baroque oboe and flute, Janelle Davis, baroque violin and cello, Karen Hite Jacob, harpsichord and harp, Mia Mangano, viola da gamba and violone, Sarah Wines, viola da gamba and cello.
