Virtuoso violinist Shunske Sato directs Juilliard415 in a program focused on the rich musical traditions of Leipzig, both sacred and secular. This colorful celebration features soloists from Juilliard’s Marcus Institute for Vocal Arts and the Juilliard Community Chorus in arias and chorales from Bach’s Christmas Cantata.
Augmenting the festive occasion will be concertos and suites from Bach’s Collegium Musicum, his own musical society, in a festive holiday feast direct from Zimmermann’s Kaffeehaus in Leipzig.
