Early Music Missouri’s Main Stage Series continues with a holiday concert, “Sing Noel! Christmas Music from the High Renaissance.” The program celebrates the Christmas season with vocal and instrumental music ranging from Gregorian chant to High Renaissance motets. The repertoire includes Tomás Luis de Victoria’s O magnum mysterium, Josquin des Prez’s Ave Maria, an 8-voice Magnificat by Luca Marnzio and other seasonal motets by Heinrich Isaac, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Jean Mouton and others. The instrumental ensemble features a wind consort of recorders and dulcian, early strings and lutes. Instrumental music on the concert features works by Andrea Gabrieli, Ludwig Senfl, Samuel Scheidt and others.

EMMo’s six-concert Main Stage Series takes place at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Ladue MO. The space offers an exquisite sound and a beautiful setting for this music. Parking is free and both parking and the space are handicapped accessible.
Early Music Missouri is the region’s foremost promoter and presenter of Early Music concerts. Its performances feature Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque repertoire performed on period instruments by expert performers from the region and nation.
