Jouyssance Early Music Ensemble & Los Angeles Camerata present “MadriGALS”

Jouyssance, conducted by Artistic Director Dr. Nicole Baker, joins forces with the viols of L.A. Camerata (led by Artistic Director Dr. Marylin Winkle), for a concert featuring 900 years of music by women.  With composers ranging from Kassia in the 9^th century to Barbara Strozzi in the 17^th, the concert includes motets, madrigals, grand polychoral works, and an excerpt from the first opera written by a woman.
