Mexamorphosis “Chambers”
Music from the Baroque French and Italian, West African, and Mexican Son Jarocho traditions enter the Mexamorphosis “Chamber.”
Mexamorphosis is a dynamic intercultural project that brings together traditional musical styles — including early music from around the world, with improvisation and, when possible, dance. Featuring a rotating cast of global artists, it fosters cultural dialogue by highlighting shared roots and collective narratives. Mexamorphosis creates a participatory space where diverse traditions coexist, offering audiences an immersive musical experience.
Join us live in person at St. Malachy Roman Catholic Church – The Actors’ Chapel or online via our YouTube channel. The Midtown Concerts series is a production of Gotham Early Music Scene and free to the public.
