A workshop exploring 16th century polyphony with masters of the genre: Paul O’Dette and Ronn McFarlane.
The workshop will feature old and new ensemble arrangementsĀ for viol and lute of masterpieces of the 16th century as well as a generous selection of light-hearted frottole from the court of Isabella d’Este of Mantua. Scores and tablature parts will be provided upon registration.
Participants will be divided into two consorts of mixed lutes and viols with four class sessions during the day. The teachers will alternate between the consorts. Space is also available for a limited number of auditors.
