Get into the holiday spirit with these beautiful songs on the baroque traverso!
In this interactive online workshop, we’ll be looking at three French noëls to celebrate the holiday season! These are simple yet beautiful melodies which will help us learn from phrasing to ornamentation in the French baroque style.
The titles are Laissez paître vos bestes, Une jeune Pucelle, and A la venuë de Noël
Expect also some fun duetting time while tickling your brain and fingers with this timeless music! We’ll be using the “Brunettes ou petits airs a II dessus” by M.r R** (most likely Jean Jacques Rippert) as our basis and will also look at other sources to learn about style and ornamentation.
Playing pitch will be at A=415, but both modern and historical flutists are warmly welcomed! BRING YOUR FLUTE. Music and other materials for the workshop will be distributed around one week beforehand. The session will be recorded and all registrants will have access to the recording afterwards.
